7 Bucket List Destinations For 2021 – How To Travel During Covid-19

Although it’s hard to believe that we are already entering the year 2021, many people still haven’t decided where to go next. Whether you’re looking for an easy vacation or a once-in-a-lifetime experience, this is your guide on the top 7 travel destinations for 2021.

top 7 travel destinations for 2021

2020 was incredibly difficult in terms of planning your vacations and enjoying your time upon arrival!

One of our personal friends booked a trip to Hawaii, went through all of the protocols that they thought were required, boarded their flight from Calgary, Canada, and got turned around once they landed in Hawaii…

That is a lot of money, time, and effort thrown to waste, all because of the changing pandemic climate.

How do you ensure safe travel in 2021?

Luckily, airlines and hotels have been doing a great job at adjusting to this new climate and putting in measures to ensure the safety of travelers.

Also, with the new vaccinations coming out, things should be opening sooner rather than later.

The silver Covid-19 Silver Lining?

If we had to pick a silver lining in Covid-19 and travel, one of the positives could be that places that were once overcrowded with tourists will definitely have fewer travelers. If there are places you always wanted to travel to, but you didn’t want to wait in lines or be shoulder to shoulder with other tourists, now may be your best opportunity.

Also, tourists will be more cautious now when traveling, which can be good for safety and prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Bottom line? 2021 is here, and travel is a possibility… The only question is, where are the safest, most reliable, and most enjoyable places to go in 2021? Let’s take a look at the 7 best travel destinations for 2021.

1. Costa Rica

Leading the list for the top travel destinations in 2021, is Costa Rica.  Not only is it open to foreign travelers, but it is one of the most beautiful and biodiverse countries on the planet. Costa Rica also has some of the most preserved natural areas in Central America.

The beauty that is Costa Rica:

Costa Rica is a green paradise with huge rainforests, active volcanoes, beautiful beaches, and more than 5000 animal species living there. The wildlife includes everything from sloths to crocodiles!

It’s a very nature-oriented destination that offers an opportunity to explore untouched forest or spend time on one of Costa Rica’s many white sandy beaches like Playa del Coco (rated as one of the best beach destinations by Trip Advisor).

Costa Rica is also one of the hidden gems of the surfing world.  The country is a top destination for surfers in Central America, and there are usually great waves.

Hidden Gem of Costa Rica… Nosara!

Nosara Costa Rica is growing in popularity as more people discover its beautiful beaches and natural attractions. It offers something for everyone, from adrenaline-fueled activities to relaxing on the beach or exploring the natural environment.

Nosara is also famous for surfing, with great waves and various breaks that are perfect for beginners and advanced surfers alike.

This destination in Costa Rica has become one of my favorite places to visit, and it is growing in popularity for ex-pats because it’s so different than most other destinations in Central America and ranges from upper end and modern luxury Villas with a lot of tourists to more authentic Costa Rican communities!

If you’re looking to escape the crowds but want your own private paradise where you can relax without feeling too self-conscious, then Nosara might be worth considering next time you’re planning your vacation plans!

Check out www.beachmanagementnosara.com to book some of the most luxurious villas that Costa Rica has to offer.

Perfect for nomads!

Welcome to the world of multiple countries! These visas are given to anyone who wants to promote and market Costa Rica digitally, but isn’t that brilliant? Who doesn’t want more tourists coming through as Ecuadorian travelers become more prevalent?

Current Covid protocols as of April 14th, 2021

As stated from CNN:

There’s no need for a negative Covid-19 PCR test result as there was initially. All passengers must fill out a Health Pass before travel.

Must have valid travel insurance covering potential quarantine accommodation up to $2,000 and medical expenses of at least $50,000 related to Covid-19. This must be accompanied by a certificate in English or Spanish, giving the policyholder’s name, coverage dates, and guarantees as stipulated above.

2. Kenya

2nd place on our list for the top 7 travel destinations in 2021 is Kenya!

Kenya is always classic, and its landscapes are the definition of “wide-open,” which will make the country more appealing than ever during social distancing.

If you have never been to Kenya, then you are missing out. It is a country with wide-open landscapes and amazing wildlife that you would be missing out on if you never go there.

Aerial shots are always breathtaking, but for some reason, they take on a whole new level of beauty when taken from above Mount Kilimanjaro or one of its neighboring peaks like Mt Meru or Mawenzi Peak. One thing I love about flying over these mountains is how different they are from the surrounding area.

Highlights for travelers:

The top things to do in Kenya for tourists are getting out into the wild and going on safari or taking a customized tour of the country. You can also visit one of three National Parks, but my personal favorite is Amboseli because it has fewer tourists than other parks in Kenya.

Covid-19 Protocols:

Is travel permitted: Yes

3 Main conditions upon entry:

1) Temperature test

2)No flu-like symptoms;

3) The passenger has a negative PCR-based COVID-19 test conducted 96 hours before travel.

New Zealand has been known to the world as one of the most beautiful places in the world. New Zealand has been known for its breathtaking scenery and its amazing beaches, glaciers, and snow-capped peaks.

The best time to visit would be in October or November when you can go skiing on Mt Ruapehu or during February where they will have springtime flowers blooming which is a rare sight because of all the rain they get from June – August. The country houses a third of all of the world’s antiquities and is home to the only remaining place in the original Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: the pyramids at Giza.

Egypt is also home to the largest and most populous Arab country in Africa and many fascinating cultures, and world-class tourism industry.

6. The Islands of Tahiti

6th on our list for the top 7 travel destinations in 2021 is Tahiti!

2021 will be a time to celebrate! After over a year of lock-up and battling one of the most significant pandemics in history, 2021 will be a time to escape and relax. What better place to do that than French Polynesia?

The Islands of Tahiti are one of the most beautiful places in the world. The waters are clear and warm; there is always something new to see (especially during their peak season); it has some of the best beaches around and offers a unique culture for tourists who want an adventure!

The islands are made up of two main ones: Tahiti Nui and Tahiti Iti. The total land area is around 66 square miles, with a population of just over 165 thousand people in 2018! Although it’s not one of the largest countries or territories on Earth, it does have some interesting customs.

Tahitians form a society based on family ties, extended families who live together also tend to work together. There is no word for “boss” because everyone has their role in life and understands what you’re capable of doing from your job description alone without someone telling them how important they should feel.

  • Snorkeling,
  • Exploring the rainforest in search of rare birds and waterfalls,

7: Antarctica

7th place on our list of the top 7 travel destinations in 2021 is is Antarctica!

Now I know this may surprise you, but experts suggest that now may be the best time to travel to this winter wonderland.

Experts predict that now may be one of the best times ever to explore Antarctica and experience its unique landscapes with fewer crowds than you would find in the summertime. The vast openness, icebergs, endless snow, and cold are so unique that they will leave an everlasting impression on anyone who decides to travel.

From November through January, there are sunsets over 40 hours long due to constant daylight and twenty-four-hour days, as well as loads of penguins on shorelines.

Some travelers even choose these months for baby chicks hatching, which will boost your chances for close encounters at colonies like Paradise Bay, where giant Adelie Penguins can number up into the thousands (even if they’re all males!).

Highlights for travelers:

If you are an adventure seeker, then Antarctica is the destination for you.

Who wouldn’t want to explore glaciers and snow-covered mountains or dive under icebergs while watching penguins swim by?

The top things to do while traveling Antarctica include

  • Watching the sunrise from the top of a mountain
  • Skiing on snow-covered mountains
  • Diving under icebergs and watching penguins swim by.
  • Visiting research stations, such as McMurdo Station, where you can see how scientists live for months away from civilization. You may even come across some endangered species that have managed to survive in this harsh environment, like fur seals or humpback whales!

Covid-19 Protocols

Antarctica, which the United Nations administer, doesn’t convert its visitors to Cóndor restrictions. However, tourists accessing the continent from Chile and Argentina are subject to their entry rules.
